Virtual Therapy for Women in California Support Through Life's Biggest Transitions

You’ve supported everyone else. Now it’s time to support yourself.

We provide expert virtual counseling to help you navigate anxiety, motherhood, grandparenting, and the major transitions of life with confidence and clarity.

You're overwhelmed, running on empty, and not quite sure where "you" went in the middle of everyone else's needs. If you're in a season of change (new motherhood, parenting, grandparenting, a relationship shift, retirement, or a new career) you don't have to find your way through it alone.

You're holding it all together: the job, the kids, the aging parent, the relationship, the mental load nobody else sees. From the outside, you look like you've got this. Inside, you're exhausted, stretched thin, and quietly wondering when you last felt like yourself.

That exhaustion makes sense. Big transitions ask a lot of you, even the good ones. Whether you're adjusting to a new baby, raising teenagers, becoming a grandparent, redefining a relationship, retiring, or starting over in a new career, it's normal to feel unsteady. This is a lot. There's a way through. And you're not alone.

We're Janna and Ronna Spiegel, a mother-daughter team of licensed clinical social workers offering 100% virtual therapy for women across California. Between us, we bring over two decades of experience supporting women through anxiety, postpartum depression and anxiety, parenting, grandparenting, and life's biggest turning points, along with our own lived experience of many of these same chapters. Together, we help women like you find steadier ground.

  • Life Transitions Support

Major life changes—career shifts, relationship evolutions, identity redefinition—can shake your sense of self. Our therapists help you navigate these transitions with clarity and confidence. We help you process what's ending, embrace what's beginning, and discover the strength within you to move forward with purpose.

  • Grandparenting: Embracing a New Chapter

Becoming a grandparent is a profound shift—one that brings joy, purpose, and sometimes unexpected challenges. Whether you're navigating your evolving relationship with your adult children, managing the emotional complexity of caregiving, or redefining your identity and role, we're here to support you. Many grandparents experience a renewed sense of purpose, but also face stress around boundaries, family dynamics, and life balance. Our therapists help you embrace this chapter with joy and authenticity.

  • Retirement & Aging

Life's later chapters deserve thoughtful support. We help women navigate the identity shift of retirement, and the broader questions of aging, purpose, and legacy. You don't have to figure this out alone.

We are here to help you find your balance and move forward.

Navigate Life's Transitions with Confidence

Does This Sound Familiar?

  • Survival Mode: You're juggling multiple roles—parent, partner, professional, daughter, friend—and you can't remember the last time you felt truly present or at peace. You're exhausted, and you're not sure how much longer you can keep going.

  • Lost Identity: Somewhere between caring for others and holding everything together, you've lost touch with who you are. You wonder: Is this all there is? What happened to my dreams?

  • Overwhelming Transitions: Whether it's becoming a mother, stepping into grandparenthood, or navigating a major life change, you feel unprepared and alone. You're searching for guidance and reassurance that you're not the only one feeling this way.

‍ ‍Our Approach in Plain Language

We know "therapy" can feel like a vague, intimidating idea. In plain language: working with us means having two women who've navigated much of what you're going through ourselves, sitting with you as you figure out what's actually going on underneath the exhaustion, and building real tools you can use between sessions, not just insight for insight's sake.

We lean on practical, evidence-based approaches: cognitive behavioral techniques, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and solution-focused strategies. That means you leave sessions with something to work with, not just a lighter feeling that fades by Wednesday. Some weeks that looks like processing a hard conversation with your partner or your adult child. Other weeks it looks like practicing a boundary out loud before you use it in real life.

Most of all, we believe you don't need to be in crisis to deserve support. If you're holding it together but running on empty, if you look fine from the outside but feel unrecognizable to yourself, that's reason enough to reach out.

Who We're a Good Fit For:

  • You're a woman based anywhere in California looking for virtual therapy that fits into a full, busy life.

  • You're navigating a major transition: new motherhood, parenting, grandparenting, a relationship change, retirement, or a career shift.

  • You function well on the outside but feel exhausted, disconnected, or unsure who you are underneath it all.

  • You want practical tools and honest conversation, not just a place to vent.

  • You're ready to be an active participant in your own growth, even without all the answers yet.

  • You value therapists who bring both clinical training and real, lived experience of many of these same chapters.

Who We're Not a Good Fit For:

  • You're looking for in-person sessions. We are 100% virtual.

  • You're located outside California. We're licensed to work with California residents only.

  • You're in active crisis or need a higher level of care than weekly outpatient therapy provides.

  • You're seeking couples or family therapy. We work individually with women, and we're happy to refer you to a couples therapist if that's a better fit.

  • You need specialized treatment for severe mental illness or active addiction.

  • You're looking for a strictly clinical, detached style. Ours is warm and relational.
